Below is the procedure for entering images into NHCC's end of year competition which will be held Monday, June 8, via Zoom and also in person for those attending the NHCC banquet.
To highlight the main points - You do NOT enter through Photo Contest Pro. You simply email Paul Peterson with your choices for each category. He already has all the images (they must have been entered during the 2025-26 season) and he will enter them for you. The images you enter do NOT need to have won any awards.
You can potentially enter 11 images as follows: 3 in the open category (B, A, or AA), 2 in image artistry (B or A), 2 in monochrome (B or A), 2 in nature (B, A, and AA together), and 2 in landscape/seascape (B, A, and AA together).
The deadline for entering is now June 2. In case you have forgotten which images you entered, they are all on the NHCC website under Photographs. Click "Photographer", find your name, and all of your images should be there.
The Image of the Year Competition will be held via Zoom and In Person on Monday, June 8, at 7:00 PM. The deadline to submit images is Tuesday, June 2.
Whether you can join us for the meeting or not, you are still eligible to enter images into the competition.
Note: There is no Assigned Subject category for this competition. See categories below.
Eligibility: Open category electronic photos, Image Artistry photos, Monochrome photos,
Assigned Subject photos entered into the year's competitions can be entered into the Open categories (Class B Open, Class A Open, Class AA Open)
1. Open - enter up to 3 images (from monthly open or assigned subject comp only)
2. Monochrome - enter up to 2 images (from the monthly monochrome comp only)
3. Image Artistry - enter up to 2 images (from the monthly image artistry comp only)
4. Joe DiChello Landscape/Seascape - enter up to 2 images (from any category)
5. Jane Sibley Nature Competition - enter up to 2 images (from any category)
This means you can enter up to 11 images.
Please Note:
1. Images must have been entered during the 2025-26 season.
2. The image did not have to win a ribbon.
3. NO duplicate images. Each photo may only be entered once in an end of year competition.
Example: If a photo is entered in one of the Open categories, it may not be entered into the Nature competition or the Landscape/Seascape competition, etc.
4. Deadline is Saturday, May 30 but please try to enter as early as possible to give Paul Peterson time to organize the competition.
If you did not keep track of your images, the images are available for viewing on the NHCC website. Go to the Photographs tab. click on Photographers. Click on your name to find all of your images submitted this season.
Note: The images entered from September through April are now on the NHCC website. The May images are not on the website because we don’t have enough space on the website. The May competition was just held so you should be able to remember what you entered into it.
You do NOT enter through Photo Contest Pro. Paul Peterson has all the images from this season (including May) Email him - pmjpeterson@sbcglobal.net to give him your choices.
Put NHCC EOY Images in the subject line. In the body of the email, list all the images you wish to enter for each category.
For each image, list the category you want to enter (Class AA Open, Class A Open, Class B Open, Class A Image Artistry, Class B Image Artistry, Class A Monochrome, Class B Monochrome, Joe DiChello Landscape/Seascape, Jane Sibley Nature). Then list the title, the month when the image was competed, and the original category in which it was competed. See example below.
Please make sure your entry follows the format in the examples below. You must give Paul the Title, the Month when it was competed, and the Category in which it was competed so he can find it
