Invitation to a Private Hockey Photo Shoot

 Roxanne Gura, one of our new members, has graciously arranged for members of the New Haven Camera Club to have a private photo shoot & session with the East Haven Adult Hockey Team.

Enjoy & photograph players during a pickup game (skate speed is slower than in an actual game).

It’s scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, 2023. Suggested arrival time is 9:00 AM. Shoot begins at 9:20 AM

ONLY FOUR TO SIX PHOTOGRAPHERS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED!

Location: East Haven Veterans Memorial Ice Rink, 71 Hudson Street, East Haven, CT 06512

Parking is free, but you’ll have to arrange your own travel.

Tips provided by Roxanne:

    - Equipment: 70-200 mm F2.8 lens or 24-70 mm F2.8 lens; lens hood/ skirt (available at Amazon or DIY with cardboard)

                No flash, outside light, or tripod is permitted.

    - Apparel: Dark clothing t avoid glare/ reflection from glass around rink

    - Roxanne will have a short Power Point presentation on what to expect, how to shoot through glass, how to pan, and more a day or two before the shoot.
