REMINDER: Upcoming Field Trip

 NEW ENGLAND ACCORDIAN MUSEUM

and

AMERICAN MURAL PROJECT IN WINSTED CT

Join your camera club friends on a trip up Route 8 to Winsted CT to the home of a new installation called the American Mural Project which honors “work” through art and education.  It is installed in a renovated mill and is a three-dimensional mural 120 feet long and 5 stories high.  Note in one picture how small Art and Ann look compared to part of this mural!!  This will be a fascinating experience as you watch a short video about the artist, Ellen Griesedieck, and how she used hundreds of people including many children to construct parts of the mural. 

There are also thousands of watches displayed throughout the building in large groupings.  

After lunch in a recommended restaurant, we will travel to North Canaan for a visit to the Accordion Museum.  This is a small museum displaying antique and modern accordions and memorabilia.
