Mentor’s Program
New Haven Camera Club is pleased to announce that this fall we will begin a Mentoring Program. The program is designed to assist our less experienced members with their questions and concerns by involving our seasoned and very knowledgeable members. It will work in this way:
. When a new or less experienced member has a specific question or concern, they will fill out a request form and email it to the program coordinator.
. The coordinator in turn will send the request out to a list of volunteer mentors.
. A mentor who is willing and able to address the concern will in turn respond to the coordinator, and a mentor will be assigned.
This is just a brief outline, but this is basically how the program will work. The requests will have to be specific, such as, what equipment do I need or settings would I use for a specific shoot? How can I make my focus tack sharp?
Mentors will be on a volunteer basis. Replies to the request could be done by email or in person depending on both parties' comfort zone and the nature of the request.
