FIELD TRIPS ARE COMING!!
Spring is right
around the corner, and New Haven Camera Club’s Trips committee is planning 3
springtime trips. Dates for the first
two trips will be announced in the next 2 weeks. Keep your eye on the blog! Below are the locations of the trips.
v LAUREL RIDGE – DAFFODILS in Thomaston
CT. Thousands of daffodils around a
pond, stone walls, and hills and you can walk through the fields.
v WHITE FLOWER FARM in Morris CT. We can stop there after visiting Laurel
Ridge. This is a family-owned mail-order
business with many gorgeous indoor and outdoor plants on the grounds and in the
store.
v CRICKET HILL GARDEN – PEONY HEAVEN in
Thomaston CT. They open in mid-May and have many peonies of all kinds. Umbrellas provide shade for many of the
peonies in the fields, making for fascinating pictures.
v TARRYTOWN AND SLEEPY HOLLOW – HUDSON
VALLEY, NY. June 15th (rain date June 19th). This will be an all-day trip to this
beautiful area. We will explore the
Hudson River walkway, Old Dutch Church, Phillipsburg Manor, and Tarrytown
Lighthouse. Details are being worked
out.
