Understanding Hyperfocal Distance and Depth of Field March 14th, 7pm, via Zoom

PROGRAM TITLE: Understanding Hyperfocal Distance and Depth of Field

March 14th, 7pm, via Zoom

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  We’ve all been there before – a beautiful vista, a magnificent sunset, a breathtaking landscape – and we’re trying to get all the foreground and distant objects in focus.  But it’s a struggle.  If I make the background crisp, the foreground is soft.  And in reverse, it’s the same thing.  So I pick a spot a third of the way into the scene.  Nope, I just can’t get everything sharp.

If this sounds familiar, then you’re ready to learn about hyperfocal distance and depth of field.  A little apprehensive about trying to learn “technical stuff”?  Not to worry…this presentation is geared for simplicity. Numerous examples will be dissected using some simple charts and appsto explore why specific camera settings work or don’t work and how adjustments can be made to maximize image sharpness.
