Hammonasset Beach State Park
1288 Boston Post Road
Madison, CT 06443

The Park is open from 8 am to sunset.

Hammonasset Beach State Park is located on the shore of Long Island Sound in Madison, Connecticut. It is Connecticut’s largest shoreline Park with over two miles of beach, as well as wetlands and woodlands.

A Meigs Point tradition for more than 25 years.

No visit to Hammonasset Beach State Park is complete without a garden tour. Started in the mid-1990s by the Madison Garden Club, the Meigs Point Gardens began with the Butterfly and Pond gardens. In the early 2000s, Friends of Hammonasset (FOH) began maintaining the gardens, but with limited volunteer support, the gardens became overgrown.

But, what a place of possibilities:  Nature, water, sand, sunsets and people.  Let your camera run wild.
