The New
Haven Camera Club’s Photo Challenge for the month of April is a trip
to Colorblends House and Spring
Garden, a half-acre garden bursting with more than 50,000 spring bulb flowers
of various types, including crocuses, daffodils, tulipsand other spring
blooming bulbs.
Blooming in
sequence, there will always be some flowers on display for the six- week period
the garden is open (April 2 – May 16). On
the property is a 1903 Colonial Revival mansion which is being restored but is
closed for the 2021 season due to covid.
There is no cost and the property is open from dawn to dusk.
Located at
893 Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport’s Stratfield Historic District., access is
easy from I-95, the Merritt Parkway and US Route 1. Street parking is
plentiful.

Remember –
please send up to 4 images to Colleen Reilly (www.colleen@halleycomm.net ) by the deadline
of April 30th. Please
follow this format example for naming your images: ayost_01, ayost_02, etc. They must be sized the usual NHCC 1400 width
x 1050 height. The slide show will premiere
on the NHCC Facebook page in early May.
So - get those cameras out and drive down to Bridgeport for an adventure in a unique place with gorgeous bulb flowers. If you go more than once, you will see even more varieties of blossoms.
