Important Club Notice
I wanted to follow the announcement from NECCC with a NHCC club announcement. Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 the New Haven Camera Club will cancel the April 13th meeting. It is highly probable that we will have to cancel all future meetings for this year. However, I would prefer to cancel one month at a time in the hope that some unexpected good descends upon us.
Please submit your competition images for the April 27th competition. The deadline for submissions will be Friday April 24th (as usual). (See our blog for a reminder of deadlines, size of images and assigned subject.) We will be conducting our competition online or through email, with each judge scoring images from their own computers. We are so grateful to Paul Peterson for organizing the online judging, gathering the scores, entering them in the Photo Contest Pro software and then doing such a great job of publishing everything on the blog. Thanks Paul!
We had hoped to organize some kind of online meeting in April so that everyone could watch an online webinar at the same time from their computers, instead of meeting. Unfortunately I am not sure myself how to do this so we have not been able to schedule this.
Please contact me or any other board member if you have any questions or suggestions. Photography could make these difficult times a little better for you. Look around your house and in your yard for photography subjects. There are also many free webinars you can do online. One thing you might have lots of now is time. So have fun shooting.
Stay safe,
Denise SaldaƱa
