Photo Contest Pro is open for the 2018-19 Season
Photo Contest Pro is now set up for the new season and you can already enter images for the September 24 competition. The deadline for submitting to this competition is Friday, Sept 21, at 11:59 PM. Here are a couple of suggestions for submitting images. Photo Contest Pro has two methods for submitting images. A number of people have had issues with Method 1. Therefore you may just want to use Method 2 which seems to work very well.
Remember that you should be resizing your images so that they are no more than 1024 on ANY side. So, 1024 by 768 would be fine. A vertical image 800 by 1024 would be fine. A square image 1024 by 1024 would be fine. The program has the ability to handle slightly larger images and shrink them down. For example, if you forget to resize and you submit an image which is 2000 by 1500, the program will probably accept it. If, however, you try to enter a full size image (5000 by 3500 for example), the program will not accept it. If you don't know how to resize your images, check with other club members or email Paul Peterson.
The assigned subject for September is "Street Photography." That goes for Assigned Subject Class A and Assigned Subject Class B. In other categories (Open, Monochrome, Image Artistry, Image Critique), you can submit images on any subject matter.
You've had the whole summer to hopefully take lots of photos. Let's now share them by entering the New Haven Camera Club competitions during the 2018-19 season.
