iPhonography Workshop
Monday May 15, 2017 7PM
North Haven

You've probably heard the phrase, "The best camera is the one you have with you". The camera most folks always have with them these days is the one on their cell phone.

Our own Bill Barnett will share the skills he has developed in using the camera included on his iPhone. Travelers have used a variety of easy-to-use cameras to document their adventures over the years beginning with the first Kodak Brownie introduced in 1900. Today many photographers use camera phones such as the Apple iPhone. They are easy to carry and are equipped with camera apps where “You press the button and it does the rest.”
Camera phones also have a place in the kit of serious photographers as supplemental cameras. They can be used when a regular camera is not allowed or is awkward. They help you avoid attracting attention since cell phones are so ubiquitous. Some types of photography such as time lapse video are easier with an iPhone than most regular cameras.
Bill will discuss: useful hardware accessories, still photography with an iPhone, shooting video with an iPhone, and other iPhone apps photographers may find useful.

This will not be a hands-on workshop, so laptops are not required. You might want to bring pen/notebook to take notes. The workshop is open to the first 12 folks to sign up. You can sign up at a meeting, or by emailing Joan at beadnik2@gmail.com.

Workshops are free but you must be a current member to attend.
