Taking Great
Close-up Images Indoors Using Natural Light
Sat., October
31 @ 9AM
Branford
Paul
Peterson has once again agreed to give this always popular workshop, in which
he shares his techniques of taking striking close-up (macro) images of flowers.
Paul
will begin by explaining his techniques for lighting, using natural light, use
of backgrounds and other techniques he has perfected over the years. This will
be a hands-on workshop, so please bring your camera, a tripod and a macro lens
if you have one. If you don’t have a macro lens, just bring what you have. If
you don’t have a tripod, Paul has some to be borrowed. Some of the flowers are
large enough that they don’t really require a macro lens. Paul will have flower
setups in a number of stations in his home, so everyone will have ample
opportunity to try their hand using his techniques. If you’d like, you may
bring a bloom or two. No live creepy crawlies, please!
The
workshop will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31st at 9AM. Rain date: Nov.
7th. (even though you will be indoors, good natural lighting is
required.) To sign up, please email Joan at beadnik2@gmail.com
, or look for the signup sheet at meetings. I will send out an email with
directions to Paul’s home a few days before the workshop to all who have signed
up. Workshop available to the first 8 people who sign up.
Please
note that workshops are FREE, but you do need to be a current member to attend
workshops (and to enter competitions and go on field trips).
