Members of NHCC have done very well in two recent print competitions. In the winter NECCC color print competition, Barbara Vietzke received a first place (score of 27) for her print "From My Back Yard." NHCC received a ribbon for coming in 2nd. among 27 clubs competing.
At the Photographic Expo 2011 at the Milford Fine Arts Center five of our members won ribbons and awards: In Nature/Animal, Linda Brinckerhoff won an honorable mention and she won a second place in Landscape/Seascape. Art Yost won a third place in that same category. In Open category, Fred Rosenthal won a first place and a third place. In the Creative category, Fred Rosenthal won a first place and William Barnett won second. The Best In Show award went to Lisa Cuchara for her image "Two Hummingbirds-My Turn. The brochure listing all the entries had an image of a portrait by Tom Cuchara which had won last year's competition. Congratulations to all our winners and a thank you to all who compete so that many can enjoy the fine work being done.
