Dear Members,
The following images were sent to represent the club in the third Electronic Imaging Division Interclub Competition:
MAKER NAME IMAGE TITLE AWARDS POINTS
Joan Balen, Orange Flower, 9
Lisa Cuchara, Newborn in Drawer, 10
Gerri Mahon, Death Valley Sand Dune, 10
Andrey Antov, Heading for Naples, 11Susan Naumann, Field of Flags, Award 12
Barbara Vietzke, Before the Storm, 10
We are in Group 1 (the highest) of this competition. The competition was judged by the Unlimited Vision Photography Club in Grafton, WI. The scoring range is 1 to 5 for each of three judges for a total between 3 and 15.
Currently after 3 of 4 competitions we are in second place with 195 points. The Foto Club Quilmes from Buenos Aires is in first place with 216 points and the Terra Australis Digital Image Group located in Forester, Australia is in third with 190 points. This is truly an international competition. Out of 21 clubs in Group 1, 6 are outside of the United States: 2 in Canada, 2 in the United Kingdom, one in Australia, and one in Argentina.
Just to repeat something I have said previously, our success is due to the high level of photography being done by our members. We are competing well in a tough group.
Best regards,
Bill
