JUNE FIELD TRIP to TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK

Tarrytown is home to the famed Sleepy Hollow area. Join us on Thursday, June 15th (rain date Monday, June 19th) for a fun day of photography!

We will be visiting:

(1) Lyndhurst Mansion has 67-acre grounds to shoot gardens, flowers, fountains, outbuilding architecture, and more. There’s a $10.00 per person cost & specific entry times. They suggest purchasing tickets online, but it's not necessary (more on all of that as we get closer to the trip).

(2) Christ Episcopal Church. They have gorgeous stained-glass windows. No charge! [Image is from their online post]

(3) Philipsburg Manor grounds. Outbuildings, trees, and a bridge surround a pond which provides beautiful reflection images. The pond also entertains ducks. No charge!

(4) Kingsland Point Park (Pierson Park). From here you can get great photos of the Mario Cuomo Bridge, ferries, and other water vehicles traveling on the Hudson. And there could be other irresistible scenes along the riverwalk.  There is a $10.00 entry per vehicle.

LUNCH! Not forgotten! If the trip remains as scheduled, we’ll dine at the Horsefeathers Restaurant, a local favorite with an extensive American menu.

If we reschedule for Monday, June 19th, most restaurants will be closed. However, there is one (Beekman Ale House) that serves pizza & salads. Also, Lyndhurst Mansion and Kingsland Point Park allow picnicking.

Reserve your place early by contacting: Bev Byer at byer454@yahoo.com. Bev has to make lunch reservations at Horsefeathers two weeks prior. Please include your contact information as well.

Details regarding meeting time and & place will be provided closer to June 15th.
